As we all know, Christmas is a time for indulgence. Indulgence and share. But a dog did not receive the second half of the memo.

David Barrett’s Chi Apso Bubba threatened to spoil Christmas by devouring his family’s entire turkey on Christmas Eve.

I mean, leave a turkey unattended with a Newfoundland and you can expect this bird to go extinct, but being a Chi Apso – a mix of Chihuahua and Lhasa Apso – Bubba isn’t the biggest dog. of the world.

As such, the feast left her swollen like an anaconda that just swallowed a deer whole.

Bubba’s menacing Christmas feast took place on Christmas Eve in 2016, and David shared the news with the world in a tweet that read, “No luck, did my dog just scan the whole turkey? for tomorrow.”

The tweet racked up more than 22,700 likes, with a swollen photo of the culprit retweeted more than 8,800 times.

Fortunately, Christmas was not ultimately spoiled, as the owners managed to save the day by asking relatives to bring a spare turkey.

David explained, “It was a turkey breast and mom cooked it all and put it on the lower level of a two-tier table and put foil and a tea towel on it.

“She just couldn’t move. It was quite big, a whole turkey breast.

“My aunt had two turkeys so we had one of hers.”

Liam decided to dress his dogs up in their own Christmas cardies as the 2019 holiday season approaches and have his group of puppies pose for a photoshoot.

Buster, Daisy, Ziggy, Wallie, Zac, Bonnie, Saffie, Duke, Diamond, Ruby, Kizzy, Sammy, Kansy, Kiki, Lottie, Benji and Dudley were all on their best behavior as they posed on her stairs.

He said: “I took Christmas photos of the dogs previously dressed for Christmas on the sofa and thought I had to outdo them, so I thought about doing it on the stairs this year.

“I thought it was a challenge so I had to do better to prove people wrong with the dogs all dressed up ready for Christmas and I thought it would be funny to see them all dressed in their little outfits.”

That said, it took him a few tries before he could put them all in the right position before capturing the perfect shot – that’s a lot of doggos to get in one place, after all.

Liam added: “It took about 45 minutes to take the picture because when the dogs were in their outfits they thought it was time to go for a walk and they all went crazy running around the house.

“After a while on the stairs in their sweaters they started to fall asleep so I had to work hard to keep them awake and looking at the camera.”

Worth it in the end, however.
