BELINGTON, West Virginia – The Barbour Community Health Association’s Belington Wellness Center will be holding their 10th annual 5k Turkey Trot on November 6th.
The 5 km will be run on a mostly flat course at the Belington Wellness Center. Walkers and runners of all ages are welcome.
Participants will be divided by age, as follows:
- 10 years and under
- 11 to 19
- 20 to 29
- 30 to 39
- 40 to 49
- 50 to 59
- 60 years and over
The schedule will be as follows:
- 7.45 am – 8.45 am: Registration
- 9h00: Start of the 5K Turkey Trot
- 9:15 am: 1 mile Fun Trot begins
- 10:15 am: Prize giving of the race and drawing of lots
The event benefits the Heart and Hand House, Belington Presbyterian Church and other charities.
âWe are thrilled to be able to host this event again as it benefits so many members of the community,â said Scott Nesland, PA-C of the Myers Clinic. âThe Heart and Hand House and Belington Presbyterian Church do so much for communities across the county, such as serving hundreds of residents during Thanksgiving. We would not pass up an opportunity to help.
Prizes will be awarded to the best graduates in each age category. A turkey will be awarded to the overall male and female winner. Those with the 3 best fall-themed outfits will also receive prizes.
