According to the statement of the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, in an exclusive interview with the Anadolu agency, “I predict that tourism will rebound until May and the V-shaped recovery that we have experienced this year will continue in 2022 “.
Pushing the country’s goal of a V-shaped rebound in tourism in 2021 even as it has been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, Ersoy said: “We have been successful in achieving our lofty and ambitious goal this year by doubling our tourism revenues to $ 24. billion.”
The most recent figures from the Ministry of Tourism showed that the country welcomed 22.8 million overseas travelers in the first 11 months of the year, an increase of 89.6% over the corresponding period of the previous year.
